GG1, the American Crocodile

Description
Pete, this one is for you. The American version of the Crocodile, the GG1. This one was at the PA railroad museum I went to last year. The GG1 had an articulating chassis like the crocodile. She was rated for 90 mph for freight and 100 mph for passenger trains. She had a continuous output of 4,620 horsepower and could output short bursts of up to 8,000 horsepower. I was fortunate enough to see one barreling down the tracks in New Jersey heading for New York City back in 1979.
