This is a tough one. Especially if you don't have the train.
The square and battery are paper ENLARGED COPIES. As the Square/battery are OVERSIZED, the real Z train appears even smaller.
One member caught it last time, maybe a year ago, because I cut off the top of the shadows, they did not continue up the wall.
I don't remember what the exact scale works out to now, But the Z 1:220 train "APPEARS" to be something like 1:340.
Thanks for showing an interest- I'll transfer 3 points to you for being a good sport;)
Happy Rails,
Fred

I guess if I had put together all the elements from the photo in real life and compared them, I would have hopefully seen the mistake.
If that's your train, or if you know anything about it, please give me details. The orange locomotive and tender look great with the yellow cars. Okay, that probably sounds a bit like an interior decorator talking... umm, er, ahhh. But, really, that locomotive looks very cool

She also strongly inferred it would be detrimental to our marital bliss and extremely hazardous to my health.

I also think this little beauty looks cool. It is the 88035 , which was new in 2004 and in the Maerklin program of 2005 and 2006. Unfortunately I didn't buy it then. I don't know about the cars shown in the picture, but at the same timeframe there was the 87910 set of passenger cars. The orange locomotive and tender look great with the yellow cars.
In 2006 the 81438 set was available.

Fred,
Um, I'm kind of the Dragonlady over at my house, and I'm not that crazy about actually being called "Dragonlady". Pssst - I'll let you in on a little secret.... Sweetie, Dear and My Lovely Wife are better choices if you intend on keeping up with your interior decorating Oh, and don't get yourself (or your wife!) any train stuff for Valentine's Day
