I don't mind a spirited debate over the positive and negative aspects of any product. I think it's healthy for the hobby. However I cringe when it gets personal. On my Model Ship forum, I have always told others that if you want to point out the flaws in someones work, then do it in a constructive way.

I apologize for being so late on this discussion. I think I am on some of same Yahoo groups as Kelley, I seen the discussion Kelley is referring to in the CB&Q Yahoo group and that group is populated with many retirees, historians, 'Q' historical society members, RPM (Railroad Prototype Modelers), etc... So, if a group discussion goes haywire there... what do you think will happen with a Z scale modeling group?

For me, I only get hung up with product quality. If the product has poor performance, poor workmanship, or poor service then I won't buy from them again. I vote with my wallet.

Reading through this thread I have found modelers in about 5 different 'camps'. I like it! It proves you are your own modeler with your own tastes, and you should not be rubber stamped as a stereotypical modeler. It also shows more modelers are maturing and demanding higher quality prototypical products(you pay for what you get). The past few years I have noticed the RPM groups growing and coordinating conventions across the United States. Believe it or not, but there are some Z entered at these events. Maybe it is time for a Z RPM group?

I will not edit this thread, but I will lock it from further comments.
