Waiting for a 10 weeks breat since my soldering station was broken I have a result noch: Back to the roots. Weller WD1000 with 80W soldering iron WD80 went back to sender. It makes no sense to solder brass using a tool designed for SMD. Instead I bought a Weller WS51 from Conrad with iron LS21. Reason is to be enabled for using ET tips instead of LT tips. The adapter from ET to LT must not be used but another tip jacket TCP-S was needed. ET tips have a bigger mass than LT. Even if there are just 50W they do not cool down on contact to the breass in the same way. The 80W of WD80 had not been effective! The started Pwgs43 can't be recovered but the Bremen car convinced me. Unfortunately measures of the body and chassis do not fit. A correction will not be ready during the summer now. I have enough other things to try out...
