Side veiw of Howe Trust Bridge
Image information
Description
I have always wondered why there was hardly any wooden frame bridges and after building one can understand why. You have to have something to glue to and that is the hard part. I ended up laminating the sides of the jib to the top and bottom chords which consist of over fifty pcs of 1/64"x1/16" wood glued together and in between the side supports. Than some of the wood was made up because what I wanted was not evaluable. There are more than 400 pcs of wood.
Most of all wood was pretreated with "Weather-it" to age it.
