MOW car was created by bambuko
Using piece of Perspex and couple of MTL trucks I have made MOW ;) car for use on newly laid track.
It is particularly useful when testing newly handlaid track.

thanks TerryH :)
it's nothing new (few things are ... ;) ) - I have seen it used in larger scales

Jim,
I get all my rail from The 2mm Scale Association , but you have to be a member. Have a look in 2mm Association shops

In USA you can get code 40 (but not code 30 which I am using) either at:
Nscalesupply
or at:
Fastrack

Could be adapted into a track cleaning car?

Yes, you could make cleaning car like this, but (in my opinion) in Z, cleaning cars are not likely to work very well (if at all).
If you make it heavy enough to be effective, you will have difficulty pulling it.
If you make it light, there will not be enough normal force applied to rub the rails.
Best track cleaning advice is KISS :P
Or have a look here
But, if after all this, you still want track cleaning car - it is simple to make one ;)
If I were making one I would follow Aztec idea.

Chris, I can't believe it Nscalesupply cancelled my order for 5 pieces. They say they have a $20 minimum order policy. I'm not sure I want to order 15 three foot long pieces to make the minimum. I know I won't live long enough to use them. What to do? Cheers, Jim CCRR:unsure:

Jim, you only want five 3-foot lengths of raw Code 40 rail? I can help you out. email me: dks2855 at gmail dot com. Note that the postage is probably going to be a bear.
