A few Scratch Builds completed was created by andgott
I've been scratch building like crazy! It is my goal to have nothing 'store bought' on my layout, partially because I am too cheap...

First, the Gas station. I built the building, pumps, and the '66 Ford from styrene-



It looks nice at night, all lit up-



I built an Erie steamshovel, and a dump truck (loosely based on a Dodge)-



The tug & Bridge, both scratch built-

The buoy is lighted- and flashes at night. The bridge is a model of one of the N&S Five bridges, located in Indiana Harbor, IN... I had to shorten it a little for my use. I used to work as a Merchant Marine officer, and passed through this span about every week for 10 years.


This is the camp scene-



I scratch built a 1962 Shasta camper... Then I had to add some details. They're cooking up a batch of moonshine on the still, and keeping warm by the fire.

I have been working on a few other items, too- This is a 1948 Indian Chief-
