I have a couple of Marklin switches that don't work. Has anyone over repaired a Marklin switch? They are too expensive to just chuck in the file 13.

I have repaired one, but I can't say I'm an expert at it. What's wrong with yours, other than they don't work?

I haven't opened it up to see. Now it doesn't throw when you move the lever.

I had a similar problem with an 8560 (double slip crossing) and it turned out that the switch rails had become disconnected from the little bar that was supposed to move them. The item was still under warranty, so I took it back to the dealer I got it from.
