Unfortunately your description of Dragonlady is not that far off the mark. :woohoo: I mean "Sweety" as Beverly might read this. :S One big clue for you- KEEP your eyes and ears open-

You earned 5 stinken points for your original analisys, theory, and thesis!

Well, 5 points is 5 points.
I'm still in the dark, (that's normal), so I'll be looking forward to someone figuring this one out.

Yes- this is a standard Z-Bend layout- 3 feet by 3 feet ( with vertical - up and down- developement ).
I built the standard Z Bend tracks on main level (Factory area) and independently operated trains below and above. This module will connect to any other standard Z bend compliant module. We mated them up at a train show in Baltimore- Timonium.
I am VERY slowly building two end modules so I can run the Z bend tracks along with several other trains on a basic 3 ++ foot by 9 foot ++ layout. The mountains Block viewing of the other side - picture to follow.

Toot my own bell-- Guess I'm the winner :( . I thought for sure there were some N to Z crossdeckers. This is the cover of the most recent N Scale Collectors Magazine, with a 3 page Z article.

Baltimore- Mid-Atlantic Area- Greenberg's Train Show-Tmonium, Md.. 1000-1600 SAT/SUN
Dec 5-6, 2009. I just got thier flyer and the 3 featured layouts are...
1. 17'x28' HO = 476 square '
2. 20'x30' Z (DC Z-BEND)-600 Square ':woohoo:

3.12'x36' O gauge = 432 Square '
That's a whole lot of railroading for Z Trains.

Just wondering -- can everybody open all the pages to this thread--- I haven't since the NEW ZCS- and the page listing on my computer is vertical-- It might be just my computer with all the fire walls and brick walls.

Hello Fred,
Fred wrote:

no real problem here, I can open all pages of the thread. The only minor not so practical detail is that the page listing is vertical and more important it only shows the pages in a certain group of ten pages: 1 - 10, 2 - 20 and then 21. Personally I would like more if the listing was horizontal, and showing the current page and the 4 or 5 pages before and behind. But that's a question of personal preferences.

I thought I'd add something funny I saw this weekend, Down Maine... There was a series of mail boxes at the end of a lonely driveway. The first was on a post about 4 feet high ( normal height for mail boxes ) that said "US MAIL". The second mailbox was on a post about 10 feet high and it read "BILLS". The third was about 15 feet high and had "AIR MAIL" painted on the side. A little Down East humor :S

Oh, I know there can be an explanation for that. But, it will include the word "bacon" several times in the sentence!

Hello John,

the explanation for that hasn't to do with bacon in any kind...
...it has to do with savings...

I'm not completely sure about the country where the picture was taken since the only full shop name visible is McDonalds which might be almost everywhere on this planet. But you can read the word ...bank on the side of the streetcar. Combine that with the coin on top of the streetcar and then you will have what we call a "Sparschwein" in German or a piggybank in English. So this is a kind of commercial for saving money.

I like your explaination. What I have been impressed with is the European tram lines and the railroads find interesting ways to generate income. With placing advertisements on their cars and engines I certainly would beinterested in how much income they generate of the advertising fee they collect.
Many of the transit systems here in the USA seem to always be having funding problems. Maybe if they took some of the lessons from their European counterparts it would increase their bottom line. It would be interesting to see an Amtrak engine with the name "LIONEL" on thier sides.
I think it certainly would draw attention.
