Need brushes for Pacific 4-6-2 was created by xj700
I Need brushes for Pacific 4-6-2, but don't know which model number I need for it, and also where to buy, of course. The engine came as a starter set, 81535. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to ZCentral :-)
go to:
www.maerklin.de/de/service/suche/ersatzteile.html
and you should be able to find what you need

Chris
ps if you need more help just shout

on reflection... just went in myself and:
starter set No will not help you (you need to know loco No)
however, US Pacific loco is likely to be 8807, 8881 or 8882
and the brushes are part No 8989
so armed thus I would enquire at your favourite supplier?

Hi,

It depends on the motor in your Pacific, whether it's a 3 pole or a 5 pole motor, as these motors use different brush sets.

If you have a 3 pole motor, you'll need brush set 8989
If you have a 5 pole motor, you'll need brush set 89891

This retailer seems to carry a reasonable selection of Marklin motors and brushes:
