Fox Valley Models 36" Metal Wheels was created by Mr.JA
Fox Valley Models has just released new metal wheel sets in 36". :woohoo:

My question is... Where would these be applicable versus the 33" version?

Maybe more importantly... Can I really see any difference in 3" in Z-scale?

I believe they would use them on Nn3 stuff. I don't think I could see 3 z scale inches without a lot of help.

Prototypically 36" wheels would go on passenger trucks and locomotive trucks (like the F7B). In practice I don't know if MTL uses 36" wheels.

36 inch wheels are used in heavy trucks for freight check grain cars and other bulk commodity cars with 70 and 100 ton trucks and the low boys with 6 wheel trucks. Micro trains has 36 inch wheels in their earliest 4 wheel passenger trucks usually used in Nn3
