National Train Show - Portland 2015/ convention

The National Tain Show this summer in Portland will be a fun event for Z scalers. We hope that everyone will be able to join us.
Z will have an 80 x 50 foot area for modular layouts and BYOZ.
So far we have commitments from:
NW Pacific Z Scale
Southern Oregon Z Model Engineers (SOZME)
Bay Area Z (BAZ)
Southern California Z (ZoCal)
Terry Sutfin's "PoorVille and DebtCity RR Modules"
Cascade Z Modelers (CZM) - host club
Numerous BYOZ layouts
In addition David "Mr Dave" George and his crew will be in their own space with the award winning Golden-Blackhawk & central City RR.

When the idea of having Z scale conventions first came up years ago one of the ideas was to have them in conjunction with the NMRA conventions.
We are attempting to add to this years NTS some convention activities.
Some of the activities are:
Thursday night dinner and swap meet
Private tour of Columbia Gorge Railroad Club (hosts of the NMRA Convention)
Modeling contests.
Prize raffles
Saturday night dinner for all of the Z scalers and industry figures.
Any suggestions for other activities are welcome.

Hello everyone,

If you are planning to attend the National Train Show in Portland this month the Cascade Z Modelers will host a group dinner Saturday night 7PM. Widmer Brew house. All Z scalers are invited to attend. Please see attachment for more information.

There will be a Buffet style dinner so everyone can get their food 'at the same time' with no ordering hassles and delays. There will be a 'Tostada' buffet with all the fixens. Salad and soft drinks are included. We ask for $25 (CASH - PLEASE) this includes gratuity. There will be a no host bar.

Thursday night CZM will host a Pizza and swap meet at the Columbia Gorge Railroad Club. CGRR is the convention host club. Along with the pizza and swap meet we will have behind the scene access to their layout.
