Hi Paolo,
There used to be (maybe still is) someone in Europe (maybe Germany) who put small metal plates on the bottom of the Marklin couplers. You could then use an electro-magnet mounted below the track to un-couple the cars. I'm sure someone else here knows more about it.

Marklin does have an uncoupler that is mechanical for uncoupling their fish hook couplers. Rokuhan has a working prototype for their track system that should be on the market in 10 months or so.

The only thing magentic about the units is that an electro magnet is used to raise the uncoupler device from the road bed to the coupler height.
true magnetic uncoupling is still the domain of Micro Trains couplers.

You must be referring to System Jorger, the guy with the amazing module layout.
Check out his webshop for the magnetic markin decoupler and some other practical items.

Matt is right. They also work perfectly with Micro Trains couplers.
