Picture Category

Hi,
I can't seem to figure out how to delete a category in My Pictures. Can you do that for me? The Category is John's Z Scale. I didn't realize that you can't use comas, etc.

John, I checked your Gallery nothing is there. Do you mean your John/'s Gallery title? You've also been around enough to use my name (Jim) when posting queries like this. Don't just address the masses and expect an answer. These are hectic days and I try to read everypost, but it is an addition help if I see my name. Your question was buried under two other posts. Jim I am trying to upload pics but I have sort of same problem. It says in a box I cant use any special characters. I even took out everything in the comment box but it still gives me same error message.

Kelly, I just uploaded a photo so I know it works at this end. Did you pick an Album Group? (one of the six) Have you made an Album? Did you give your picture a title? Did you hit the User Panel button? Try it again. If you have already posted photos before then I fear you are leaving out a step. Cheers, Jim CCRR:unsure:

Jim, I still get same warning about special characters. I dont know in what part they dont want me to put them. I am pretty sure I did all the steps. I dunno??

Kelley, Beats me. I will let Brad know about this. Hopefully someone else has had the problem, figured it out, and will chime in. Can you actually NOT even load a photo? Or is it a labeling issue? Cheers, Jim CCRR

I can load them one at a time on the forum...but when I tried to do the Album thing I got this warning about using special characters.. No problem posting them otherwise. If sombody wants to move them or edit them that's cool, I just hope I can keep adding to wherever they are moved to. Thanks

Kelley, Are you clicking on the Gallery button at the top of the Home Page? Then you must click on Add Photos/Catagories. Then you click on Add Photos. You should come to a page that allows you to title, name a catagory (ie. Kelleys Photos), and browse button. That is it? Let me know. Cheers, Jim CCRR:)

The photo gallery software does not allow special characters in the file name. The actual photo (myphoto.jpg). Like ~!@#$%. This is to prevent malicious activity. Simply rename your photo with no weird characters before you try and upload it.

I'm sorry, but I still can't figure out how to post pictures correctly. Today I uploaded to pictures for a posting in a thread. One picture landed in an album I created earlier, even if the theme of the album and categorie isn't fully correct. The second picture landed in a wrong album since this album showed up as default when I chosed to upload a new picture. It landed in the album (or categorie?) of "Bob H. photos". It is the one with the kids at a layout. Is it possible to move the picture from that position to the correct place, or at least in to my own album? And will the link in the thread follow the picture then?

If also will apologize to Bob for highjacking his album...

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a few "HowTo" manuals, like we used to have in the old ZCS.

Well, seems I have found the way all by myself. But I still would like to have some "HowTos" about handling those features at the board...
