I was just running a short "Grain Train" around my Truckee River Layout and was admiring how nice the new AZL ACF and PS2 cars look together with my older WDW Full Throttle Cylindrical Hoppers. It's a great "proto-typical" look.
I really love the AZL's Etched Metal Roof Walks. They really look great!
Then I got to thinking: How hard would it be to change out the existing plastic roof walks on my Full Throttle Hoppers? They come right off. But unfortunately, they have the vertical supports molded into them. So any new etched metal roof walks would be missing these supports.
Any ideas?
Anybody willing to manufacture an "after market" "super-detailing" kit?
Thanks,
Bill Mock
PS I can't believe that I'm discussing such an idea. When I started in Z-Scale, etched metal in Z-Scale was the stuff of dreams. We have come a long way!
Bill, you might want to check with "Train Cat 2" over on the Railwire Forum,as I have him concidering doing some etched roofwalks for some Z scale hoppers.
