german double deck coaches era IV? was created by Havoc
Does anyone knows if there have been era IV double deck coaches released? If not, are there any released that could be repainted to era IV livery?

If I look at the DB logo, then the green-white one is also era V.
Have been looking around a bit on the net and if I read wikipedia correctly then the DB never had any double deck cars during era IV except for the old LBE cars up to 1978 and 6 prototypes.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppelstockwagen#Deutschland

In looking again, the green and white car are from the early 1990s. This would be too late for you. I believe the DR ran more double deck cars than the DB.

Seems to be that way. Sad because I would have loved some on my layout.

Why not run a few of the green and white ones and pretend it's a prototype train, just like DB did with the then new colour scheme in whenever it was (I'm sure someone here will know - Marklin made a set with an e-lok and three coaches).Seems to be that way. Sad because I would have loved some on my layout.

The Märklin-cars are era V, they have been built after the German Reunion and therefore are Deutsche Bahn. Thonfeld built the Reichsbahn version in era IV, but they are pretty hard to get.

I got two sets of the green & white, one to hack into older Dutch double-deck units. a good time had by all....I really love these cars. They give a great impression when running.
