Hallmark UP M10000 receives power graft was created by garthah
Here are two videos of the finished product. The first is the bare chassis on its first test run and the second the full train.
Hallmark Christmas Ornament of U M10000 with power from RealZJ EF81 and Micro Trains original 4 wheel passenger truck without the coupler were used to convert this to operate on 6.5mm track. Magnetic couplings are maintained. Head end car has two power trucks and each trailer has one truck at rear and couples at the forward end to the car in front.
Here you can see running on R220mm curved roadbed track.
I am not happy with the head light so will redo the fibre optic and install a bright orange white LED to see if we can improve on what we have currently.

That's pretty cool. We don't have these here in the UK, are the ornaments expensive?
What are they made of and how close to 1/220th scale are they.
Thanks and nice work.

I know of one modeler in the UK who has converted one of these but do not know where he purchased the set.
They are models of Lionel O scale trains so will not be true to scale 1:220 but they are close enough. This is the third of fourth offering from Hallmark in this size that could be converted to Z-scale operation. The rest of the collection is N-scale in size except for the miniatures which are almost T gauge size. Some people refere to the size as box size as the models have to fit into a certain box size and determines whether they are close to N or Z
I think when I purchased the four pieces it cost me about 85.00 in the USA. The actual set is three pieces. The head end cab unit is metal and 22.95 each the cars are plastic and 16.50 each

This is one source I found but know nothing about them. Hallmark has stores all over Canada and USA but don't buy in Canada as they prices there are 15% higher at list than in US stores.
