Description
I was surprised when I saw the photo posted for the Flying Scotsman in America because this was the loco branded the Flying Scotsman at the National Railway Museum in York. Apparently, this GNR Stirling 4-2-2 was only the first in a line of distinguished locos that served duty pulling the Flying Scotsman express passenger train service starting in 1862.
