That is the link to a red Mikado. Says it is 3 3/4", I don't have a Marklin Mikado so I have to ask, is this close to Z scale?

The Chessie Northern repaint will be released next weekend with the full line.
(a special edition with limited quantity)
The Red Comet set could be useable for a garden railroad in other scales?
They would make nice items for your model friends. lol.

Where are you seeing this set? I looked at the Hallmark website and can't find anything about it.

Its out, I have one of the Cheesie repaints but, its seems to be closer to N scale than to Z Scale.

It's out of stock or out in the Hallmark Stores?
Can you post a photo?
I'm not really worried about the size... I just want to see the details.

This is a 2001 version
www.hookedonhallmark.com/2009-Lionel-Chessie-COLORWAY-_p_30670.html
This is the 2009 Colorway version. In Hallmark speak, they may re-run an older ornament in different colors. This has been done before.
The Limited Edition means you may only find it at Hallmark card shops, not at any
store that may sell Hallmark cards. Your store may only have a few on hand.
A Colorway ornament can be priced higher/rarer than a "normal" ornament.
They are very nice items.
The Hallmark/Lionel series goes back to 1996. Since 2002 a third car has been added to the yearly "set". (they count steamer tenders as "cars", sold separately).
Hallmark also makes a "miniature" ornament smaller than Z.
