Here are some short videos that I took of my engines and cars running on Loren Snyder's "Big Bertha" end module at the Portland GTE show this past weekend.
Click on the thumbnails to see the video.
This is my favorite spot on Loren's module. It looks like the water is actually sparkling.
An overhead view of the train peaking in and out of the tunnels.
Here is Loren doing what he does best.

It was fun. Can't wait till March for the next show.
We ended up having two layouts set up for the show.
Saturday everything seemed to run fine on the large group, but overnight the gremlins came in and tweaked the layout. We were having problems keeping trains on the track, then I put my Marklin Pacific engine on (straight from the box) and it was the little engine that could. The crowd enjoyed the little steam engine tearing up the tracks.
After some tinkering we got the smaller set of modules working pretty smooth. My Geeps pulled that consist for a couple of hours without a break.
Brad from CZM shot some video, I'll post a link if he posts the video.

Jerry, I like your selection of music for the first video. Loren looks a bit intense while sticking those trees in to the module.

Hi Alex,
I like the music also but I can't take credit for the first video. The person that shot the video did all the editing. He was kind enough to allow me to share it with everyone.
You know Loren, packing as much as he can into the time allowed. Between trouble shooting, doing tree making demonstrations and helping everyone with their projects it didn't leave him much time to do his own modeling.

For those that are interested, here are links to my two Portland GTE remix videos ... the first one being from the show last weekend (March 2010) and the second one being from last November's show.
- March 2010
- November 2009
Both were generated by video software that automatically edits the video to supplied soundtracks ... just supply the source material and let it go ... on the latest video, I previewed the edit and repeatedly deleted short segments that it picked that I didn't want until the result was reasonable, probably made about 20 deletions over the course of 30 minutes of reviewing before thinking that enough was enough .

Thanks for posting the video of the GTE in Portland. I am sorry I couldn't make it but it looks like you folks had fun and the modules were as usual - top notch.

Yes John, we did miss you but at least your modules showed up to participate in the fun
While attendance was a bit low, it was relatively even throughout most of the weekend. The slow pace though did allow me adequate time to record material for this latest video as it is hard to pay close attention to visitors while doing this stuff.
