JAM the big Japanese Trains how was held in Tokyo this past weekend, Rokuhan had a big presence at the show, the only other Z scale company was Tenshodo and they were not showing anything new, so No Platz or Crown was seen in this photo essay.

I'm looking forward to the C57 coming out as I'm planning a Steam era Japanese layout sometime in the future as I've been watching two great programmes on the NHK TV channel 'Train cruise' and 'Japan railway Journal' which have wetted my appetite. I hope Tenshodo are going to persevere in Z as the D51 and C62 are lovely running engines. It does mean I'm probably going to abandon my efforts to model Thai Railways in 1m even though I have the C56 2-6-0 nearly completed (so many things to model so little time!)
Slightly bigger than Z!
