Howdy Folks

Here's a link to our clubs latest video shot this past weekend at the annual Hostler's Train Show at the Union Pacific station in Ogden, Utah. Our club did great, and ran trains all weekend for the huge crowds. We came away with my Curvo Bridge module winning 1st place best in show, and my Echo Canyon module winning 2nd place as well!!.

Hope you enjoy the video..B)

There is no better place on earth to recruit new Z-scalers than train shows. Great job, congratulations.

Nice job Tony. The reaction from the kids at the end of the video are what we need - more young hobbyists.
With great layouts like your club's I hope you won over a lot of new enthuZists.

Thanks,
Jerry

Thanks Folks for all the kind words.... Our club had a great time running Z for three days, and the crowds were big. We don't know who the kid in the video was, but he was funny, so we put him in.

Tony,

Z scale arrives at the Wasatch Front. Is there a train show in SLC or in Utah County?

Robert,
There is a Salt Lake City show the beginning of November and a show at Thanksgiving Point (in between Salt Lake County and Utah County) in late January as well as the Hostler show in Ogden in early March.

I loved this movie!!! Your layout is outstanding! I know that layouts that travel to train shows get bumped and bruised. How do you manage to keep the layout in such great condition and not get those telephone poles clipped off??

Has your layout been featured in a print magazine? If not, it should be!

Hi Bob, glad you like the video.

The only thing we do to keep the modules from getting beaten up is to be careful... so far so good. We also lay all the modules flat on the floor of our enclosed trailer to haul them.We whatch for little hands that grab too.

Not been in a magazine with them yet...
