This has already been done! I used the Hallmark Christmas ornaments from Lionel series from 2010 and powered it with drive from Japanese z scale EF62, using power trucks, motor and built extended drive shafts from motor to trucks and maintained the magnetic couplings and Micro trains 4 wheel passenger trucks from Nn3 series.
