This 1961 Chevy truck is fantastic! Great detail! Hmmm, how about the same thing as a pickup? You're alreay 3/4 of the way there.

IF I had one of these beauties, I would paint it forest green, paint the trim and lights add the U.S. Forest Service emblem on the doors, maybe add a Smokey Bear decal on the side panel or back (I would have to do a bit more research)and then add a Ranger and a certain collie. All you people with that tall timber out west in California and Oregon, might need someone to put out fires and rescue little boys that fall into wells.

Joao, your work is fabulous!

Thanks Joe!
I also thought about turning it into a pickup. It's the next step. I'm doing the same to the '59 Impalas. I'm turning it into a '59 El Camino pickup.

Cheers,
Joao

LOL That's a nice idea for a diorama indeed. ;-) I'll try to get a ranger figure. I really like countryside and forest dioramas. I'd love making that.

Cheers,
Joao

Here he is. It's supposed to be a park ranger. And he is asking "What the heck is that intense light coming from the woods??" ;)

Cheers,
Joao

OH you did GREAT!!! You are good at figures too. If I get my hands on one of these I would not just make a ranger, Id modify that Preiser German shepherd into a certain collie that everyone knows.

Did you make the ranger from scratch or modify a Preiser dude??

Yep, I just modified it from a worker figure from Preiser. The only things 'scratched' are its hat, tie and radio(?) or holster(?).

Joao,

Amazing figure work!! When will your 1961 Chevy Apache Panel truck, 1950 Flxible VisiCoach and Ford cabover be ready to sell?

Yours,

John

Hi John,
Thank you! ;)
My production now is a bit slow, I must say. I've cast last week a batch of 20 examples of Flxible buses and I have another 20 of the Ford C. The '61 Chevy I just have made 10. They are all at grinding and sanding process, now.
But, you can always make an order. This way I can guarantee and reserve them to you.

Cheers,
Joao

Hi everyone,
I started a few months ago a training course of aircraft production which takes me great part of my time. So, that means, my scale model production is even slower... But that doesn't mean I will stop...
I have an ambitious list of models I'd like to build in the new year that comes.

These are the Z scale vehicle projects for 2013:

- 1959 Chevy El Camino;
- 1961 Chevy Apache pickup;
- 1961-67 Ford Econoline van;
- 1959 Ford Fairlane;
- 1961 Ford Thunderbird;
- 40's - 50's Divco milk delivery truck;
- 1961 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon;
- 1961 Plymouth Fury;
- 40's - 50's Willys Jeep station wagon;
- 1950 White 3000 beverage truck;
- 1950 White 3000 box truck;
- Ford 'C' Series semi-tractor;
- 1961 International Travelall wagon;
- 1963/64 Jeep Wagoneer.

All the Best,
Joao

Now this is nice.
Lots of those vehicles are going to be right around the era I'll be modeling. I know what I'll be getting once I have the track done.

Hello Mike, Jim CM&T here. Glad to see you are in Z Scale. Much can be done in a given space. I started out here and used to run the site. Hence, the Master Moderator, title. Those days are gone now as arthritis makes only the larger scales viable. Enjoy your time here and in the scale. Jim

I am open to suggestions/ideas of new vehicles (cars, trucks, buses, special vehicles, military vehicles, etc...).
What vehicles would you like to see in Z scale?

Cheers,

I sure would be interested in some newer vehicles. Like 70's or 80 camaro pickup trucks, Ford Pinto for that matter. Just some newer vehicles would be appreciated. Let ma know if and when they become for sale if you would

Also a 50's Buick

Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since my last post here.
Many models have been created on this almost-one-year absence. I'll be posting each one here in the next few days.
Here's the latest addition from my Z scale vehicles list. Finished tonight. :)
This time an european one. A very common city bus all over Europe. The Mercedes-Benz O405.

Joao

Not an exclusive look to Europe, that's for sure. I compared this to a photograph and this looks "close to EXACTLY" like the city buses we have in my city here in the States. In fact, although not to Z scale, here's a .PDF of the bus as a paper fold-up. (I also sent a .GIF for those that have a difficult time with .PDF files.)

Joe

OK, looks like .PDF uploads are out here at ZCS (A .PDF still looks good when resized.)
