What think of the car's strength? Trucks easy to attach?

They're hollow. You'll need to plug the hole in the bottom, but it should be easy enough to fill it with some kind of powder or liquid.

With the hole in the bottom that would be a great place to add weight to the Car. Use a fine sand and then plug it.

Great to see this kind of technology used. Great car, ladders too I'm thinking. How about an old time woody caboose with offset cupola? Something to go with the often promised new steamer. Jim

Check out Stony's site on Shapeways. He has some new neat stuff.-Somebody has to toot Stony's Bell :S

A Side Note-- Just saw on the news- NASA is using 3-D printing on new rockets in hopes of making cheaper components.
