Alex I am surprised in you. I was sure you were going to comment on the trucks. :)

It is interesting. The WC ran a mix of GP30s. The one shown in the below link is from the 2XXX series of road numbers. It has the same trucks as the AZL release:

It appears the WC received their GP30s from the SOO and CNW. There are interesting photos of WC consists showing patched and demarked GP30s from these two road heading trains. Those with the Alco trucks appear to be from the SOO heritage.

Here is one with SOO up front:

This one shows a former CNW up front::

The WC was purchased by the CN so running with CN locomotive power is totally acceptable.

Yes the end of the caboose is striped. It is pretty cool.

I didn't comment on the trucks, because I found several photos of both. In all of the proto-photo examples you posted, they all show the horn placement and the winterization hatch. Not that a jack@$$'s opinion counts for much, but it seems these two details could have been worked into this road-name release. I posted my comments as questions, not as statements.

Why choosing a road# with Alco trucks if there are others with Blombergrucks in the roster? And a unit with snow plow, ditch lights.....The winterization hatch is a pitty, because AZL has it already for the GP7.
But I know why: It's all about me, providing me with more work....;)
