What is this? was created by stonysmith
Okay guys: Short Guessing Game: What is this?
Note: I've edited the picture slightly to remove two clues. I'll post the full picture if someone can guess what it is.
No prizes will be awarded, and no fair googling.

Hi Stony
That is really some find you got at the train show. Jerry is right with his guess of the early DCC controler. I did some loooking and this was a very popular stystem when it first came out. People today are still using it and they buy and trade parts for the system as highly sought after collectables. Here is a little more info on it if you would like.

Interesting to see the DCC of the past became something like my NCE Power Cab. What was happening in the 20 intervening years? Jim

That system wasn't DCC. It is considerably older. I've replaced the picture above with the un-edited version. Also.. I didn't purchase it.. according to my wife I've got too much old junk as it is.

With all those switches I bet the inside is an electrican's nightmare.

A friend of mine bought the system for his big HO layout, a year later Keller went under. For a while people were giving them away to get rid of them, now they are a collector item.

If I remember right by the time my friend went DCC he had enough of the Keller systems to supply half the model railroaders in Michigan.
