I got to playing around with an MTL turnout with the remote switching machines. I know in other scales that you can flip them over and mount them upside down. I got to fiddling with a turnout I had to take apart to clean out some spilled gunk anyway, so I filled the end of the turnout next to the machine, I also filed a bit off the circuit board.
Everything seems to fit back together.
I know Mr Smith had mounted the machines on the bottom, but has anyone else tried flipping them yet?
You have to make sure that it fits perfectly. Otherwise it doesn´t switch completely, I had this and with seconds, the remote machine grew really thick, got extremely hot and didn´t smell too good. I wouldn´t use it with Märklin controllers, I would take a switch, that goes back to non power. I could show you on the weekend.
