Gallery folder suggestion was created by animek
Here's an idea (Santa's wish if you like)
Could it be possible to scroll through the recent added pictures, then when we are out of the forum for a week we could access all of what was added and be informs of new stuffs, because "as is" there is no way to scroll around the new pics and see what others have done, and in my case (I've tried it) I couldn't possibly find all the added photo's by dates.

I would have to agree with Ben. this would be a great added tool to let more people see the photos posted. right now its hard to find new photos once its moved off the home page. that said i think the new look of the site is great. nice improvement

So, implemented something close. Check it out.
EDIT: This scrolling of photos takes place in the 'Gallery' not on the 'Home Page' Cheers, Jim CCRR

Sorry, it's not really what I meant. having the 18 images scrolling in front of you or seeing them on the page is not what I was pointing out. (that being said I suspect there is some limitation on the tools this forum version can carry).
Scrolling or on the page, we are still limited to see only the last 18 photos.
The point is I want to "see" the pictures that were posted 2 weeks ago, and it is currently impossible to do so.
Sorry to blow your balloon! And I Apologize for this I know coding this forum is hard work.

Ok, I can see the last 18 from the gallery, but how do I access the hundreds of older photos?

Loren, You have to scroll through the individual albums/galleries of the members. Not fun, but no different than any other site. Most folks file under General Z scale. Start your hunt there. On the other hand this site seems to pay more dividends the more you use it. Hunt around, use your memory and things get easier. Of course this site could be the final answer if someone would win a good lottery and make a six figure donation! Cheers, Jim CCRR:woohoo:

Ben,
I see what you are saying. I thought it when you mouse over 'gallery" then click on 'recently added' it showed 18 per page but it looks like there is no next page button. Let me check into it.

I checked into this. The existing code cannot be easily modified to 'pagenate' latest photos or most viewed photos. I set this to 1800 photos and it creates one super long page that slams the server for nearly two minutes before it loads. I was able to change this from 18 photos to 40 photos with marginal server impact. The new look of the site is also designed to load faster and have less impact on the server. I am trying to avoid having to step up to a higher end more costly server.

Curious oddity... when viewing the Top 40 Last Added, all photos show "No Comments." But when viewing the Top 40 Most Viewed, the correct comment counts are displayed...
