Can a steam loco handle a 26 degree turnout? was created by seldredg
Hello. Can a steam locomotive like a Tenshodo C62 handle a 26 degree turnout like you'd use in a yard? I'm designing a layout for limited space. I remember from using one on a Noch layout with tight turns that some locomotives would bind, and actually get stuck sometimes.
Thanks, Scott
Thanks, Scott

The Tenshodo C62 and D51, Marklin Mikado and Pacific, AZL Mikado all are recommended for use on minimum Radius of 195 mm

Thank you. Looks like the 26 degree turnout has a curve equivalent to 145mm. Scott (I used any rail and laid the curve tracks on top of the switches.)
