I'm finishing up my first craftsman style rolling stock kit. Just spent ~ 2 hours getting the brakewheel on and now have more superglue on my fingers and the holes representing wheel than attaching the wheel to the wire. (Not to mention having to find the darn thing after dropping twice!) The subject describes my eyes!

So, how do the experienced modelers attach the darn thing!?!

P.S. Love the kit BTW, but my eyes hurt!! LOL. If all goes well, I'll need to make more of them.

Ben, use a tweezer and a superglue accelerator.

Hehe. I did use tweezers...and the the super glue was accelerated enough! Between my fingers and the tweezers, the brakewheel was generally "attached" to one of them, rather then the end of the car. Maybe I should get some hemostats!

Joking aside, I'll look into the accelerator. Thanks!

Position the car such that the space for the brakewheel is horizontal. Place a tiny drop of thick CA on a scrap of plastic. Pick up the brakewheel by the edges with the tweezers, and touch the center of it lightly to the drop of CA. Then place the brakewheel in position on the car. Allow to stand undisturbed for several minutes as the thick CA sets.

OK, this time I lost the tiny little thing. *G* Anyone know where I can get a spare brakewheel?
