Curving cork roadbed
Image information
Description
This rough sketch shows how I lay (tight) curves with cork roadbed: I cut out excess cork on the outer curve. I take out little \"cakepies\" every half inch or so. Best results are when you cut the corkbed in to just a little over halfways.
If you are using corkbed in two strips (a left and a right strip make a roadbed), this is what you do: the \"outer\" halve is cut as described above. From the inner half, you cut out pies from the inner side. Glue in place along your centerline, and let dry with a weight on it.
