Description
The size of various buildings was bothering me a lot as well. What I\'ve come to realize is that structures in the real world tend to vary drastically, and I had never really considered that.
I have two houses that I crafted, one is a more traditional house that is 40x20 feet, and the other is a log cabin at only 12x20 feet. Both models are mathematically accurate, and I\'ve been inside the prototype for each. But.. the house looks huge compared to the cabin.
I realized that the cabin would fit WITHIN the house! It was rather funny when I dropped the cabin inside of the house.
There are two basic things that you should check.. A standard US door is 78-84 inches tall, and stories of a building are normally 9-10 feet high. As long as the Marklin\'s are within those ranges, then you can very likely find a real-world example that matches.
One other thing that affects the apparent size of buildings is that they are often clumped together into similiar structures near each other, and it\'s often NOT the case to have mised structures next to each other. Mixing a range of structure sizes side by side only emphasizes the size differences.
