You let the "cat out of the bag" - speaking of "cats" this has a true nautical heritage, and came to mean something totalally different today. What was it's early reference-

Ok,

I was earlier than suspected, had an epiphany, here's the next question. What was the only color outside Brunswick Green and Tuscan Red to adorn the GG-1 and what was the name of train for PRR and its destination cities.

I think the color was Gold (yellow) but confused as always.

Broadband Scheme - Congressional
1955 PRR: Silver, thick red stripe and larger black serif Roman lettering, large PRR keystone

1955: 4866, 4872 and 4880

A few units were repainted to match the coaches on the Congressional train. This and the green and Tuscan broadband schemes used plates to cover over part of the radiator on the side above the numbers. Three years later some units began to receive new intakes behind the classification lights and most of those had their old intakes welded over.

Now to figure out the town.

I got this one- It went through big cities, medium , and small, through mountains magestic and tall- over hill and yonder dales, through hamlets and towns and tunnels as it followed the rails.....

Fred, New Haven Railroad let them borrow a pair of EP3s to experiment with. Don't know if that is the partner your looking for. So many hands in the pie on this one. And YES, you got the cities correct. LOL. Interesting how it was made using back to back engines encased in the shell.
